  • The Byzantine Empire was located between Europe and Asia. 
  • Constantinople was called the "New Rome"  because that survived while the Western side fell. The Eastern side formed into its own called, Constantinople. 
  • The   Bosporus Strait was important to Rome because it connected the Medirettaen Sea to the Black Sea.
  • The Byzantine traded oil, wine,   salt,   fish,   meat, vegetables,  timber,  silks,  perfumes,   spices, etc.
  • I am Constantine. I found the Byzantine Empire and converted them to Christianity. 
  • Of course Constantine and Justinian the I  was the two most popular emperors.   they both contributed to the empire.  They did things that changed it forever. 
  • I am  Justinian and I created the  Code of Justinian. I had a powerful wife named Theodora.
  • The people of Byzantine liked Constantine because he found the empire and converted them to Rome. The people did not like Justinian  because he raised taxes on the empire.
