  • Tensions between Mexico and The Untied States where f]greatly increasing Mexico believed that even though Texas was an independent nation, Mexico still believed that Texas was theirs but when the U.S. annexed Texas this enraged the Mexican People, One reason for the Texas Revolution was that many Anglo Americans settled in Texas many of the settlers believed they should not follow Mexican Orders.
  • Manifest Destiny was an American Movement where many Americans felt it was A God-Given right to expand the U.S. to the Pacific but the issue was the further Americans settled West this caused many land disputes about different Territories between the two powers including the Rio Grande.
  • The disputes between Mexico and The U.S. with the Rio Grande was the border the Americans wanted the Rio Grande even though it was under Mexican rule, This caused America to begin to bargin Mexico with upwards of 30 million dollars for the Land Mexico declined which eventually triggered the Mexican/American with both nations sending troops to fight at the Rio Grande.
