  • Within the time period of 1890s, there was segregation. Blacks or so called Negroes had to go to a different school, go to a different rest room, and even drink at different water fountains. They had to live in another neighborhood.
  • Within the time of 1920s, many linching occurred. 75 linching  happened. Some blacks began moving north to get more jobs, bu they ended up getting low payment. They go through violence and there family is there too. That's when the Klu Klux Klan (kkk) started attacking blacks and wanted them to be slaves again.
  • Hispanic, Asian, Native, and African Americans often had to take menial jobs for little pay. They all lived in segregated neighborhoods. they made a law that limited Asian immigration. Other laws they made was prohibiting marriage between whites and any other race.
