Hudson was born in England circa 1565 and his parents were Henry Herdson Hudson II and Barbara Alderman.
I have failed my mission again.
Henry had no siblings but he loved to voyage on the seas from a young age.
Finally! I have succeded.
Hudson's first voyage was in 1607 when he was paid to find a northern route to Asia. This trip was a total fail because there was no northern route to Asia.
The next year, Hudson went on another voyage in search for the same fabled northwest passage but he ended up returning to England again without success.
In 1609, Hudson joined the Dutch East India Company as a commander. On this voyage, he ended up on North America and he landed in Nova Scotia. From there, he proceeded down all the way to the Chesapeake Bay. He then explored the river that would carry his name. The Hudson River.
Now the river that Henry Hudson voyaged on many years ago is named after him.
