  • The Seljuk Turks were Central Asian people who wanted to expand their territory. They fought the Byzantine Empire and took control of Palestine. These robbers attacked Europe and it created the entrance of crusades.
  • We Shall be in peace!
  • In the First Crusade, 30,000 crusaders laid seige to Antioch led by four nobles. Nine months later, the crusaders surrounded Jerusalem and the city surrendered. The winner of this is the crusaders.

  • Awww! Such a ruthless, brave, and an honorable fellow!
  • The action of Muslims capturing Edessa in 1144 began the cause of the Second Crusade. First, an army from Germany was badly beaten at Anatolia. Then, an army of French with 50,000 crusaders were beaten too, which led to the victory to the Muslims.
  • Yay! We captured Acre and the Crusaders didn't capture anything!
  • The action of the Muslim Empire Salah al-Din capturing most of Palestine and Jerusalem started the Third Crusade. King Richard captured Acre and killed 2,700 of his prisoners. Because both sides were weak, they signed a peace treaty.
  • King Richard I of England was the person who fought at the Third Crusade. He taxed his people heavily. However, Richard was a very ruthless, brave, honorable, and had lots of courage.
  • In later crusades that continued for another 100 years, they were fought by poor people. Muslims had captured Acre in 1291, which was the last crusader city, while the crusaders made no progress, leading a victory to the Muslims.
