Why does my brother have to be physically challenged
Awww poor bird. Doesn't get the respect it deserves
There once was a family who lived in the rural farm area in 1918. The people who lived in the farm was Doodle, mother, father, brother (narrator), Aunt Nicey.
"Brother don't leave me."
The narrators brother (doodle) was born with a disability and was physically challenged. However, the narrator couldn't accept that doodle was physically challenge because he doesn't want to get be embarrassed and known as the boy with a "non-normal" brother. So, the narrator was considering on killing the doodle because he was a disappointment to the whole family.
Then they grow up and doodle learns to crawl so with pride the narrator to teach doodle how to be "Normal". First, the narrator teaches doodle how to walk and starts to teach him other things. Then one day the whole family found a scarlet ibis that next to the bleeding tree but, it turned out that the scarlet ibis had a broken wing, it fell off the tree and died. Then, doodle finds a connection with the scarlet ibis and decided to bury it out of respect for the bird.
Next, at the last day of Doodles training Doodle starts to become weak and tired and doesnt succeed in learning to swim. Then the brother becomes mad and they start to go home because a storm was coming. So, they started to run to get home but Doodle couldn't catch up and started yelling "don't leave me brother." But yet the brother cruely ran faster leaving him behind.
After running for a while and stopping to wait for doodle the brother notices that doodle isn't coming. The brother decided to go see where doodle was and he found laying next to a bush. Doodle was in a weird position just like the scarlet ibis was when it died.
It's all my fault I shouldn't of pushed doodle so much.
Finally, after the brother found out that doodle died and the narrator started to say that it was his fault because he was pushing doodle so much so he won't be embarrassed (pride). And he should of been nicer to him because it was now to late to realize that he should of loved doodle instead of being selfish and only doing thing for himself.
