Storyboard Text

  • ' Tableau'. Anne, Margot, Otto, Auguste and Peter sit down to eat dinner and discuss what they will do first when the war is over.
  • The food arrives and Auguste complains about having pickles every single meal. Otto tells Margot to eat and Auguste says she eats like a bird. Anne says she pretends its delicious and Peter says he eats because he is hungry.
  • Margot leaves the dinner table and Anne rushes to follow her to Margot' s room. She tries convincing Margot to eat but Margot gets angry, saying she can make her own decisions. This begins a dispute.
  • Anne leaves Margot's room and goes to her own room to write in her diary. Through 'monologue' she says her thoughts aloud when writing. These were her last words.
  • Meanwhile, everyone except Anna and Margot are still talking at the dinner table. They hear a knock and Otto decides to open the door. Nazis barged in asking if this was Otto Frank. He confirms his identity and everyone is arrested, terrified.
  • Miep Gies walks to Anne's room after the war and gathers the pages of her diary. Otto walks in peacefully and Miep says: " I think this belongs to you now." He smiles as she hands the diary over.
