Tropical Climates are found in areas that lie near the equator. Here the sun shines intensely. You can expect lost of rain, warm nights, and hot days. Seasons change only slightly.
Dry Climates don't get more than 12 inches of rain each year. Few plants, animals, and humans can survive
Mild Climates are usually mid-way between the equator and the poles. They have humid climates . Hurricanes are common and they get moisture in both summer and winter.
Continental Climates experience the most extreme weather changes. Thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hail occur there.
Polar climates go into 0 degrees year-round. The ice is so thick that it reflects off the sun's light. Even in the summer the ice doesn't melt. Antarctica has the coldest climate in the whole earth.
Mountains stretch more than 3,000 miles from the northern British Columbia. ONe of the tallest mountain in this area is Mount Everest. That comes to a height 29, 035 feet in the air.
