  • hey guys! my name is Annabel and today we are going to be traveling back in time to stop Romeo from committing suicide!
  • My poor Juliet is dead! Now I have to kill myself!
  • No, Romeo don't kill yourself! The stuff you're feeling right now is temporary and let me tell you why!
  • Okay I'll listen.
  • There are three stages in love: lust, attraction, and attachment. You are mainly in the lust/love stage which has crazy chemical effects on your brain
  • Chemicals? What would they have to do with me wanting to die
  • Because in the lusting stage, you become obsessed with your partner, making them the center of your world. So when things go wrong, you become even more obsessed. This is the chemical dopamine at work
  • You're also in the attraction stage which cause very low levels of seratonin which will get back to nomal over time
  • So I just need to wait? Okay!
  • Finally, because your serotonin levels are malfunctioning and are lower you are also more prone to suicide and sadness like you are feeling now. Wait about 6 months and the levels will return to normal.
  • Not to mention that fact that being in love turns off the critical thinking parts in your brain which cause you to make irrational decisions that you'll regret, like now.
  • Juliet you're alive! Thank you so much, Annabel, for convincing me to stay alive!
  • I'm glad you waited, Romeo! Thanks for listening!
