  • The framers of the Constitution didn't expect for anything new to form. They thought the government leaders would rise above the peoples interest.
  • The beginning
  • Republicans
  • Federalists
  • George didn't really like the fractions. He thought they divided the people. Washington had to watch as his cabinet was growing apart.
  • Republicans vs. Federalists
  • "I am Thomas Jefferson, I believe you should have political power!"
  • "I am Alexander Hamilton, I believe the educated should lead the people.
  • Washington wanted to help the separation that was happening. He wrote a letter to Henry Lee to tell him what he thought would happen to the people.
  • The end
  • In the early 1790s the two parties were starting to form. Washington couldn't stop it despite all his efforts.
  • Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton each had there own ideas. They both disliked the other one for their beliefs. The two men were the leaders of the political parties.
  • Today we still have political parties the two biggest the Democrats and the Republicans. There are tons of different beliefs in America. With millions of different ways to voice those oppinions.
