Caroline Jones was born on the 30th of May 1808 near Northampton located in England
Caroline became a catholic at the age of 19, in the year 1831. She was now recognized as a saint. Caroline passed away on the 25th of March 1877, after a lifetime of charity work.
In 1832 Caroline Chisholm got married to Lieutenant Archibold
In between, 1838 and 1846 Caroline helped those who were poor and hungry. In NSW she arranged jobs for more than 11,000 immigrants.
Caroline with the help of Governor George Gipps established the female immigrant's home shelter for women.
In the year 1849, Caroline set up the family colonisation loan society, which helped immigrants finance their journey to Australia.
