God promises to place his law within the house of Israel and write it upon their hearts. He promises to be their God and that they shall be his people. He promises that everyone from least to greatest shall know the Lord and that he shall forgive their sins.
House of Israel
"I will take you out…"
God uses four expressions of redemption in describing our Exodus from Egypt and our birth as a nation. The four cups represents these four expressions and that for every expression they should drink a cup of wine ( like a toast )
"I will save you…"
"I will redeem you…"
"I will take you as a nation…"
Cup of blessings
Paul says that Jesus is our passover lamb that has been sacrificed. The cup of blessing is a celebration of God’s promise that he will redeem us. The jews used this cup to symbolize the blood of the Passover Lamb.
PREFIGUREMENT: “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”
