  • SCENE 2 "I became angry and struck the coachman who was pushing me. When the old men saw this he struck me on the head from his carriage with a two-pointed staff. I struck him back and he rolled out. And then I killed them all."
  • "Tell us, you villain!"
  • "Polybus was my father, king of Corinth. I was respected by the citizens in Corinth and had a good life."
  • "Let me live in the mountain which would have been my tomb so long ago."
  • Oedipus Rex shows Hamartia when Oedipus fight and kills the old men on the road. Oedipus kills he father without knowing. In scene 2 Oedipus tells the tragic tragedy that he committed. This show that because Oedipus temper he commits mistakes what makes it him become a tragic hero.

  • Oedipus Rex shows Hubris when he insults the Gods thought that he is better than them trying the change the prophecy.   • I feel sad for Oedipus Rex because is no fair that he life end very sad. In the end, he is blind and poor. Oedipus fate is unfair because when he born the Gods give a very unfair destiny and because of that fate. He kills a one old men that he didn't know that was he father and married his mother. In the Exodus tells the sad and cruel reality Oedipus. This show that Oedipus become a tragic hero with a very cruel life.
