Hello and welcome to Let’s Cook With Bridget! I’m Bridget Davis, a mother of 2 kids, Samantha and Kelly, firefighter and executive chef. I will be making a 3 course meal with spaghetti and meatballs, tomato soup and cookies with Monica, a friend of mine. Let’s cook!

Tomato Soup Serves 6 You will need 2 tins(400g) peeled tomatoes 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon unsalted butter 1 large onion, cut into pieces 1 1/2 tablespoons flour for thickening the soup *Recipe courtesy of allrecipes
First, we are making the tomato soup. I would, if I were you, get out my ingredients.
First you heat the oil and butter in a large pot. Add the onion and stir it all until softened for about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and 1 1/2 tablespoons of plain flour.
Afterwards, add the tomatoes and chicken stock; bring to a boil. Simmer for 15 minutes and season to taste with sugar, salt and pepper. Purée in a blender and return it to the pot.
Et voila! We have our soup done! That was delicious. We’re moving on to the spaghetti right after the break. See you then.
