The Wild Elephants A Modernized version of "The Wild Swans"
In a faraway kingdom lived a widowed Queen with eleven daughters and one son. Without knowing about his true intentions or identity, she married a very charming man. This man was a warlock and planned to rule the kingdom and get rid of the twelve children.
The evil king convinced the queen to send away her one son to be around other children and to have a "normal" life.
The eleven daughters were turned into eleven elephants and banished to a hidden forest. The queen was convinced by the evil king that the daughters had run away.
On his sixteenth birthday, the son was called upon to return to the castle. He thought all would return to the way it was. Little did he know that his sisters had been gone and his appearance had been altered by the evil king. The queen did not recognize her son and he was sent away.
He decided to go on a quest to find his sisters. While looking, he came upon a small forest cottage. After talking to the nice lady who lived there, he knew that there were eleven elephants in a forest near her home where she picked berries. The peculiar thing about them is that they wore crowns.
