The ark finished and ready, with two of each animal aboard
After all the animals were onboard, it started to rain, for 40 days and nights
Once it stopped raining, the entire earth was flooded.
After 11 months on the ark, Noah sent out a dove to see if it would find land. The dove returned, unable to find a place to rest.
7 days later, Noah sent the Dove out again, in search of land. This time, the dove returned with an olive leaf, and so Noah knew there was land nearby, after what had now been 1 year of rain and flood.
God tells Noah and all who are onboard to come out of the ark, and multiply the numbers on earth. After this, Noah built an altar, and continued to worship God. God was pleased, and promised never to flood the earth again, and he made a rainbow as a sign of that promise.
“Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives. Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you – the birds, the animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground – so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number upon it.”
