  • The Ice Age took place tens of thousands of years ago and it created the land bridge that let people into the Americas.
  • Migration to the Americas
  • Corn, beans, and squash were the main foods in mesoamerica that were grown there.
  • Olmec Civilization
  • Before the Americas were migrated to, the people lived in Beringia which was the land bridge between Asia and the Americas.
  • Eventually, the people in Beringia migrated to the Americas. They founded the Olmec civilization.
  • The Olmec had built pyramids and set the example for later civilizations such as the Maya.
