Phoniness and Deceit
Hello, my name is Holden Caulfield and i'm the main character in the novel " A Catcher in the Rye" . In the novel I ran away from Pency, one of the reasons I left was because of phony and deceitful people. Phonies are people who who are fake or a fraud to others and deceitful are people trying to be someone else. Theses kinds of people are everywhere i go and i'm feed up with it.
“Life is a game, boy. Life is a game that one plays according to the rules.” “Yes, sir. I know it is. I know it.” Game, my ass. Some game. If you get on the side where all the hot-shots are, then it’s a game, all right—I’ll admit that. But if you get on the other side, where there aren’t any hot-shots, then what’s a game about it? Nothing. No game.
I love you
One of Holden's biggest pet peeve is phony people. Doesn't like them at all (Antonio)
