  • Mrs Smith gave me sooo much homework today. What about you?
  • Munch, Munch. Oh sorry Chris what'd you say? These chips are so good
  • Thanks this looks good what other fruits are there?
  • He thinks I should lose weight
  • Man those chips aren't good for you. Here have this fruit it tastes good and is good for you
  • This is making me soo hungry
  • He might really be taking this seriously
  • They all sound so good. How much can I have
  • Well there is Pome fruits which are Apples and Pears, Citrus fruits like oranges mandarins stone fruits so peaches and plums. The Tropical fruits like Bananas mangoes and other fruits so grapes and passion fruits
  • Two Best Friends George and Chris were going home after what felt like a very long day at school. They had stopped at the shops, George bought a packet of chips and Chris bought and Apple
  • Soo Hungry
  • Well daily you should aim to have 150g worth of fruit. This could be 1 medium Apple, Banana, Pear or Orange. 2 small Apricots, Kiwi Fruits or Plums. You can also have 1 cup of diced fruits. Occasionally you can have 125mL of Fruit Juice with no added sugar or 30g of Dried fruits
  • Wow I have a big change in my diet to do
  • Chris noticed that George was eating unhealthy foods so he gave him a suggestion. Good, healthy fruit
  • So the next time you want some chips or Coke have an Apple and some water or sugar free Fruit juice for a healthier choice
  • But what about if you go over the limit to how much fruit you can have
  • Chris starts to describe why fruit is good for you and the different categories that each fruit may fall under
  • He is definitely taking this seriously
  • Chris explains to George the appropriate amount of fruit you should have daily because of all the essential vitamins and minerals in these wonder foods.
  • I never knew that there was a limit to the amount of fruit you can have.
  • I wish I could have an Orange or Plum right now
  • Chris then tell George that instead of unhealthy junk food you could make a healthier decision like fruit and water or sugar free fruit juice
  • This is so interesting
  • George has asked Chris a really important question about fruit and this is the impacts that the fruit may have on your health
