Storyboard Text

  • After a pan of a support group circle we meet the director of the group, the ventriloquist's puppet. however the ventriloquist is nowhere to be seen.
  • The Clown introduces himself and his profession and begins to tell the tale of why he is in a support group of children entertainers.
  • We see the clown in his messy house, doing nothing in particular. As a voiceover he explains that he has always been lonely, never having any family to be with. He took up being a clown as he thought this would be a way to have fun.
  • On his first day of being a children's clown the children turned against him. They were loud and jumped around him. He could not control them. he finally shouted at them, causing a scene of crying children in front of all the parents.
  • There was one party where the kids had a piñata. One little boy, who was much too aggressive in his bat swings hit the clown in the balls. Ever since that one party, he has hated kids.
  • We learn that the only reason the clown is doing this is because he is poor, and there isn't anywhere good that will hire a middle aged man with no qualifications. he struggles with the life of a clown.
