Storyboard Text

  • The spider represents an obstacle and villain. Bilbo has to beat the spider in order to get to the dwarves. The author includes the spider since it shows what Bilbo has to overcome to get to his goal which is to get through the forest.
  • The sword Sting represents a hope to beat the spider. He had used the sword to kill sting and he killed the spider. The sword was his last hope since he didn't know were the dwarves at. Sword is important since he needs a way to beat the spider. Also it makes Bilbo feel stronger.
  • The forest is usually very dark and gloomy, but Bilbo felt very accomplished since he killed the spider himself. It was a big thing since he did it himself. It was important, because Bilbo had reached his goal.
