Storyboard Text

  • 1800
  • Hello and welcome to our discussion about who to elect for the 1800 election! Our two candidates are Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr
  • I would like Burr to be president he went to law school and he is a very approachable person
  • I would like Jefferson to be president because he wants the people to be more involved with his presidency and he did not want to be a federalist party and he wants a strong central government.
  • It looks like we have a tie of 73 votes each! Both democratic-republicans and federalists have the same amount of votes.
  • why don't we see what Alexander Hamilton thinks?
  • Well in my opinion, even though we have fought and have never agreed on many things, Jefferson has my vote. Burr is dangerous and he does not have any plan for this government.
  • Well look at that! Hamilton voted for his enemy but maybe now even friend! Jefferson is now our president and has offered for Burr to be vice president! The federalists have one on Jefferson's side.
