Storyboard Text

  • I'll do it.
  • Lina, NO!
  • I thrashed next to mother in the beet fields. " They're looking for someone who can draw."
  • We are trying to take out Stalin, by exposing the work camps.
  • What 's going on? I thought I was supposed to be drawing a map.
  • Kretsky pointed at the map. He wanted me to draw what was on it and a photograph of a man.
  • Who should we contact first?
  • No one must know about this meeting? Am I clear?
  • Lithuanian Freedom Fighters?
  • Yes, Sir!
  • Several officers hovered while I drew. I stopped drawing and asked them a few question on their thoughts of Stalin and their families. I was then moved to another room.
  • In this room, there was Lina, Kretsky, and another little girl who looked no older than Jonas. Her name was Lydia.
  • Once they knew I was on board with the plan, we all sat around a table writing down specific things to tell the other countries. We were careful about was said outside the meeting.
  • After the meeting, Kretsky made me promise I would not tell anyone. I returned back to the hut with mother and Jonas and went to sleep.
