The three witches plan when they will meet Macbeth. They talk about future events which shows they are mysterious and may have powers.
Act 2 Scene 4
The witches stop Macbeth and Banquo on their journey home. They tell them the prophecies. Macbeth is very inquisitive by saying "Tell me more" but Banquo doesn't trust them.
Act 3 Scene 4
Macbeth realised he had to kill Duncan so told his wife who persuaded him when he did not want to. This showed the evil inside her. In this scene Macbeth kills Duncan and then feels denial for what he did.
Act 4 Scene 1
As Macebeth killed Duncan and his children have fled the country Macbeth is now made to be King. People are suspicious of the brothers because they fled straight after but Macbeth is going crazy. He killed the guards because he was scared they would wake up and tell the truth, this action made some people suspicious of him
Macbeth kills Banquo as he is nervous that he suspects him too much. This adds to the craziness of Macbeth's mind.
Macbeth talks to the witches and the witches summon the three appriations which show Macbeth his future. One is a lone head, the next is a bloody child and the final one was a child wearing a crown holding a tree. They were there as a riddle for Macbeth.
