Conflict: The death of Madame L’Espanaye and Mademoiselle Camille had no solid evidence from the police but arrest Adolphe Le Bon, the bank clerk
Rising action: Dupin and the narrator go to the scene to collect clews and hear testimonies of the witnesses.
Climax: Dupin places an ad in about a lost ourang-outang to catch the murderer.
Falling action: Dupin explains his reasoning that led him to believe the ourang-outang was responsible.
The sailor came and explained what happened. He later sold the ourang-outang.
