Storyboard Text

  • It was a beautiful day at the beach, for the most part. The woman was completely unaware that some of the water in the ocean was starting to evaporate
  • Over the next day or so, the ocean continued evaporation., while the woman still enjoyed her vacation. Evaporation is when molecules of liquid water absorb energy and change into a gas. Energy for this process comes from the sun.
  • The woman noticed clouds forming in the sky above her the next day. She has condensation to thank for this.
  • As water vapor rises higher in the atmosphere after evaporation, it cools down. The vapor turns back into tiny drops of water. The process where gas changes into a liquid is condensation, These droplets collect around particles such as dust, and form clouds.
  • Eventually, water droplets get so heavy that they begin to fall to the Earth as precipitation, in this case, rain. The woman did not expect this at all, and rushed to her cabin
  • The next day, the skies were clear, and the process began all over again.
