  • The Alamo
  • Constitutional Conenvtion of 1836
  • On October 2, 1835, American Colonists and The Mexican Government went to war over a cannon near Gonzales. All because the Mexican government thoguht that they should take the cannon. But the Texans refused, and then this happened.
  • The Goliad Massacre
  • Mexican Troops seige to the mission near San Antonio occupied by less than 200 Texans. Santa Anna wanted to show that he would not tolerate Texas rebels. People Involved; James Fannin, Santa Anna, Juan Seguin, and William B. Travis.
  • Battle at San Jacinto
  • Delegates met and decided to declare independence from Mexico. They proceed to write a constitution for the New republic in the next two weeks. People Involved; George Childress and Lorenzo de Zavala.
  • Treaties of Velasco
  • Mexican general Jose Urrea led an attack on Goliad and at that same time Fannin surrendered to the Texans. (Coleto Creek) People Involved; James Fannin.
  • The battle of the Alamo and how they won by killing 700 Mexicans and taking 730 of them. People Involved; Sam Houston, Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, Juan N. Seguin.
  • Texas wants to be its own country, and has desputes with Mexico. Treaties about Santa Anna and such are made. People Involved; Santa Anna.
