Hello everyone, my name is Alec and today I will be talking to you about how to be safe in a science lab by wearing the correct PPE equipment because as you all should know the science lab is a dangerous place.
First of all you will need to put on you apron to keep your body protected from any nasty chemicals that could get on you clothes.
Then you will need to put on leather closed shoes which protect your feet from any chemicals that may land on your shoes, they should also be supplied by you and be your responsibility but your school can supply them for you if there are any troubles .
Then you will need to put on some protective goggles to protect you eyes from any chemicals as can it can cause many harmful or permanent injuries. So make sure to always keep them covering your eyes and NEVER take the off or slide them up during and experiment or even when watching one
Last but not least you should always where gloves when doing an experiment as any chemicals or substances could harm or effect you when coming in contact with your skin.
Congratulations, you are now fully equipped and prepared with the correct PPE for an experiment in a science lab, thankyou all for watching i will now hand you over to Josh who will be talking to you about safety with chemicals.
