Stamp Act Congress (1765)
The British must hear our voices, What they are doing to us, the colonists is wrong
The Colonists were mad at the British for raising revenue, at the colonists' expense, Taxation without representation
The Stamp Act was issued by the British parliament taxed every piece of paper printed, basically anything made of paper, which consisted of a great load of goods, such as, newspapers and legal documents
In the stamp act congress, they issued a declaration of rights and grievances (why the stamp act and taxing was wrong), which thus organized a strong colonial resistance. However this was later repealed by parliament in 1776 by the Declaratory Act
