Jesus is telling his followers about the parable of the Good Samaritan. He tells his followers you wil have life if you love your G-d with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and mind, love your neighbour as yourself.
A priest and a Levite thought that it was below them to help a wounded man in need but in fact, all men and women should help their neighbours as if they are themselves.
Then a samaritan passed the wounded man, he took pity on the man and used his donkey to carry him to the nearest inn.
The Samaritan gave the inkeepe 2 denari and told him to look after the man. He also said he would be back if any extra expenses needed paying.
Jesus asks his followers who they thought was the neighbour in this parable. They all said that it was the samaratin. Jesus said "why". The followers said, "because he helped the wounded man when the levite and priest didn't."
