  • The queen's overspending and the king's misuse of money causes taxes on the third estate to rise. The third estate is desperate and starving.
  • There is a meeting of the estates general called concerning the financial crisis in the third estate caused by the old order. The third estate makes the least money, but they have the highest taxes. Though the third estate represents 97% of the population they have only one vote at the meeting. The clergy and Nobles each get one, they make up 3% of the population.
  • The third estate creates the National Assembly lead by the wealthiest among them; the bourgeoisie. When locked out of their meeting place they find a tennis court and swear not to leave until the first and second estate agree to the new constitution that they've pledged to.
