Count Almaviva stands outside Rosina's window serenading her with a song but she does not appear
Almaviva meets Figaro who works frequently in Bartolo's house for many different things. They hide as Bartolo comes out of the house and they hear him talking about how he wants to marry Rosina
Figaro urges to serenade Rosina once again. However, this time he is disguised as a student named Lindoro. Rosina responds to the song but is pulled away from the window by a servant. Figaro suggests that the Count should sneak into the house as a drunken soldier.
Rosina sent for Figaro to tell him about "Lindoro's" secret identity
