  • Josephine Baker was a dancer and singer that became wildly popular in France during the 1920s. Not only was she a singer and dancer, but she was also a role model that devoted much of her life to fighting racism. Many people now admire Josephine for her actions, that have let her follow her dreams.
  • Josephine faced racism but that didn't stop her from achieving her dreams. Josephine Baker lived her youth in poverty, but then learned to dance and found success on Broadway. When she moved to France in the 1920s , she quickly became one of Europe's most popular and high-paid performers.
  • Josephine Baker has made a great impact in the US. She has shown the world that we can pursue our dreams no matter what skin. She was invited to be a leader in the US civil rights movement after Martin Luther King Jr died. She was a role model to every one in the 1900s, and still is today.
