One hot day in the Philippines, Lisa was about to walk to the mall alone. She was looking for something to wear.
I think this is it! shorts and a tank top. It's so mainit kasi eh.
Lisa was feeling confident. She was comfortable in her own skin...she was yet to discover the evils that surround her.
Yay! I'm ready to go out! I feel and look good.
As Lisa stepped out, she already encountered judging looks and "chismosas" judging her based on her clothing.
why are they looking at me like that?
OMG! Look at that! What is she wearing? She probably think it suits her hahaha
IKR?! She thinks she's all that? hahahaha poor girl!
Lisa just kept on walking. She felt a little down but still, she went on.
Why are they saying things like that? They probably think I didn't hear them? I feel so down.
Uy, miss! Pahingi naman ng number! Wow sexy! Come here, miss! Give us a kiss! Let us drive you!
Oh my god! Such pervs! This is so scary! I gotta run!
Just when Lisa passed those mean girls, she didn't know she was going to pass by catcallers and "tambays"
Lisa then decided to just go back home and ditched on going to the mall. As a female she felt objectified.
Filipinos are well-known for being keen observers or simply judgmental of others. Catcallers are prevalent in this country as well. These toxic traits are deeply engrained in our culture and needs to be eradicated.
It's best for me to just go home! It's so scary and toxic to go out. Evil everywhere!
