  • Principle 2: Overproduction and the Struggle to Survive
  • Principle 3: Differential Survival and Reproduction (Survival of the Fittest)
  • Rabbits have very strong legs. Their legs are a very crucial part of survival, but due to a disease some rabbits become weak. The disease weakens their legs and they have trouble eating.
  • Principle 4: Changes in the Gene Pool
  • Rabbits have many babies and many don't survive because of predators. Some rabbits that have the disease that weakens their legs can not escape predators.
  • Adaptation 
  • Trait selected for: resistance to diseases  Environment: grasslands   Adaptation Type: physical 
  • Strong legs and resistance to diseases are passed down. Those advantages help them survive and those that don't have those advantages don't survive.

  • There will be more Rabbits with the resistance to bone weakening diseases.
