  • Military Strategy
  • Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States of America. He did not like how slaves were used in the United States, so he was an abolitionist. Sadly, on April 14, 1856, he was assassinated by a man named John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln delivered one of the most memorable speeches, The Gettysburg Address.
  • A Lost  for the South
  • Ulysses S. Grant was a military leader of the North. He was also the 18th president of the United States of America. He commanded the Union army during the civil war. William T. Sherman was also another military leader of the North while Robert E. Lee.
  • Disadvantage of the North
  • Both the North and South had their strategies in saving their country. The North decided to create a blockade to prevent the South from trading with other nations. This was called the "Anaconda Plan". This was a good plan because it would cause the South to surrender everything and they will eventually lose.
  • Disadvantage of the North
  • The Union had many advantages during the Civil War. One advantage would be their built-in factories. These factories were used to make clothing, boots, and weapons. This would get them a huge amount of money and help them create more items. The factories would be a great victory to help them win the war because they are a huge part in order for them to be successful.
