  • Elie and his 3 sisters, mother and father live in a small town of sighet, Hungarian Transilvania. Elie becomes interested in Jewish mysticism. Moshe the Beadle is willing to teach him.
  • CLIMAX
  • Moshe returned to sighet to tell everyone one what the Nazis did to the jews and how they stopped the train he was on and murdered every jew and escaped to tell everyone about what happened soon the Nazis came and boarded everyone up on a train.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • The Jews spent days on the trains and then they stopped at a place called Birkenau where the men and women were separated. Elie saw his mother and sister for the last time  Elie and his father stuck together and go from Auschwitz to Buna. They worked at an electrical warehouse where they were often beaten and Elie's faith is almost destroyed.
  • RESOLUTION
  • When the allied forces get close to Buna the Jewish prisoners are forced to evacuate by marching through the snow for many hours and anyone who fell behind where shot. Those who were still alive were loaded into a train for days without food or water. One hundred Jews got on the train but by the time it arrived at Buchenwald only twelve were alive including Elie and his father.
  • Elie's father survived the trip to Buchenwald but then he became very sick then Elie begged the doctors to help his father but Elie's help was not enough Soon Elie's father died of dysentery and abuse by the guards Elie was devastated but now he had to focus of surviving.
  • Nearly two months after Elie's father died Buchenwald was liberated by the U.S army and Elie was free sadly he got food poisoning and spent weeks in the hospital recovering. Once he was feeling better he finally looks at his self in the mirror and was shocked by what he saw. To him, he looked like a corpse and could Barely recognize himself after the worse surviving the horror in world history.
