- The story takes place in Chennai, India. Two sisters Rukku and Viji live in an abusive home.

- Viji and Rukku decide to flee their abusive father and leave their village in India. They soon find a new home living on a bridge.

- The garbage man finds the bridge at which the girls were living at. This leaves the girls no other choice but to run. Suddenly Rukku gets sick with a fever.
