- The police had tracked them down to the hospital. Ponyboy, soda pop, Darry, and Dallas were all heading out to get some food for Johnny and the police asked them have you seen a 16 years old boy with big black eyes and a dark tanned face and greased hair. Dallas answered no and stop bordering us. After fitting for a wile soda pop say a girl and that girl was sandy with a baby girl named Anna.

- Sandy explained that she had run away for her gramma to make a new life and find you again. she also got a job a rented an apartment. she wanted soda pop to live with her and they can live together. Meanwhile Johnny was in the hospital and they had cleared things out with the police.
- They explain that they had not seen a boy like that . They we heading out to see were soda pop and sandy had gone. They were going to move to this place since Johnny is hire.
- Sodapop proposed to sandy and she said yes. The rumbles is not going to happened because eventhood Bob got killed they are not going to show because Johnny is hurt and they are not going to be able to get back home. Dally will not get killed because Johnny didn't die.
