Johnson believed that this violated his first amendment rights, so he appealed.
The Supreme Court decided that Johnson was simply using his first amendment rights for freedom of expression
The Supreme Court made a precedent stating that all cases like this shall end without punishment, and the judge's verdict was withdrawn so Hobo Joe got angry
