In 1765, The Stamp Act made all colonists' pay taxes for whenever they bought items such as paper, licenses, newspapers, calendars, dice, playing cards and almanacs. This made many colonists' angry and were treated unfairly.
In 1770, the Boston Massacre allowed British soldiers to shoot and fire into a crowd of colonists'. British soldiers killed a total of five men. The colonists' protested and at the end the British soldiers commited a crime of killing.
In 1773, The Boston Tea Party occurred and passed making British tea cheaper than colonial tea. Many colonists' were upset and protested against this by throwing away shipments of British tea out into the sea.
