This is the sane and rational decision! Trust me!
Try surviving that! HAH!
SORRY ABOUT THIS BABE.
Cute kid... I WANT HIM DEAD.
Once upon a time, there was a king who had only a single, childless daughter. This same daughter was prophesied to give birth to a son who would kill his grandfather, and as most parents would respond to such grave news, King Acrisius decided to lock up his daughter.
Unfortunately for the king, fate always finds a way, and despite his daughter Danae being kept from every single man ever, nothing can stop Zeus. He came to her in a golden shower, made her pregnant, and in anger King Acrisius cast her and her child out to sea in a box.
The child, Perseus, and Danae washed up on an island and were take in by a kindly fisherman, Dictys, and his wife. Dictys's brother, Polydectes, who was the ruler of the island, ended up falling in love with Danae, and because he didn't want any children, he decided he was going to kill Perseus. He uses Perseus's pride against him and sets him out on a quest to kill Medusa.
Luckily for Perseus, he's the son of Zeus, so the gods are happy to assist their relative in not dying. Hermes guides him to the Gray Women, who know the location of Medusa and her sisters, and gives him a sword. Athena gives him a shield so he won't be turned to stone by how hideous Medusa is. While going to the gorgons, the Hyperboreans give him winged sandals, a magic wallet, and a cap that makes him invisible.
While Medusa and her sisters are asleep, Perseus sneaks in and decapitates Medusa. On his way back to home, he finds Andromeda chained to a rock as sacrifice for a sea monster, and then kills said sea monster. He goes back home, petrifies Polydectes and his men, and Dictys is made king. ... Oh and at some point he ends up killing his grandfather with a discus. The end.
