  • In 1770's , Louis XVI was married to Marie Antoinette during the french revolution. They were very wealthy unlike their people who was suffering miserably.
  • The population was increasing and caused a food shortage and economical crisis. Many were unable to provide for their families which caused lower class to revolt.
  • The National Convention and the people was not happy about the king not doing anything to help them out. So they decided they don't want him to be their king anymore and they took over.
  • The former king tried to to flee to austria so they would no longer be prisoners of tuileries palace in paris. Then was stopped by swedish officer in the french army who admired Marie but then national guards was informed and they were captured.
  • On December 1972, the National Convention charged him with 33 charges. Including betrayal, sabotage, and failure of leadership. Subsequence voters condemned him to execution.
  • Louis XVI was carted to the guillotine. He past on January 21, 1793. Soon after, his wife dies on October 16,1793 with charges of treason, theft, and sexual abuse against her son. R.I.P
