  • ·         Students will be able to view their reading goal and timeline for their assignments.
  • ·         Students will be able to find the reading level and point value of their chosen books.
  • ·         Students will be able to take quizzes to complete their reading goals.

  • Audio file will instruct students to open a new window and search for Accelerated Reader and try to log in.  When they cannot login, the directions will state to open the school website in another tab, use the links provided to get to Renaissance, and bookmark the site.

  • The page will direct students to click on “Find a Book” and click on “Progress.”  An audio recording will walk them through the purpose of each element on the screen, such as the time line, point goal, and Zone of Proximal Development with screenshots of each.

  • A video will review with students the three ways to find book levels and present a tutorial pointing out the book level and point value.  The directions will instruct students to choose a book and search for its level and point value and enter its information into a Google Form.

  • A video tutorial with transcript will explain to students that they can take a test on campus during school hours with any English teacher or the librarian monitoring.  It will serve as a review for finding the site, logging in, and looking up a book.
