Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • What was that!? A meteor? Now my car doesn't start. Perfect.
  • My Lights Don't Work!!!
  • Conflict
  • Who Cut The Power!?
  • Rising Action
  • Why is your car starting and nothing of our stuff works? What gives?
  • Its not my fault that I have a car that starts and stops whenever it wants!
  •     The story takes place on Maple Street in a typical small town in America.  On Maple Street, the residents see a flash of light and believe it to be a meteor. The flash of light seems to stop everything from working: cars, telephones, and radios.
  • Rising Action
  • Insomnia!
  • Why are ya looking up at night? Are you looking for someone or a signal of something?
  •     As soon as the meteor "Hit" the Earth, all power-related tools or cars shut down. Confusion filled Maple Street's air.
  •                                                 Climax
  •     Les Goodman's car starts up when he walks away from it and talks to the neighbors. The neighbors are now furious. A boy named tommy suggests it was a scene from a comic book, causing a fight. Pete Van Horn goes to check out the street next to them.
  • Resolution
  • Later that day, many were discussing is Goodman was really lying and he was the one who was causing the madhouse or not.  Everyone except Goodman got up and started storming towards his house like a mob, until Steve said," Now let's not be a mob." There was one neighbor that said she would sit on her porch in the morning, and see Goodman staring at the sky like he is looking for someone.
  •     At the climax of the story, Steve pulls a shotgun out of his home when he sees a dark figure approaching him. Steve was too afraid of pulling the trigger, so Charlie rips the gun out of Steve's hand and fires it. As everyone gathers around the figure, they realize it's Pete Van Horn.
  •     There wasn't much of a resolution, but the scene ended with everyone fighting and yelling.
