narrator: the Boston tea party was the begining of the intolerable acts
narrator: the boston tea party is when a group of men called the sons of liberty dumped tea into the boston harbor. Little did they know that the after math would cause so many problems.
narrator: it didn't matter if you stopped on the street to talk to a friend it wasn't allowed
narrator: now, everything you do has an efffect, well the effect of the boston tea party was the intorlerable acts. one of them being no group chats out on streets.
narrator: another part of the acts was all ports were closed until all the tea that was dumped was paid for. This left many people who owned buisnesses without the merchandise the needed to sell.
narrator: Now imagine having to let complete strangers into your home. Its hard to imagine that right? that is exactly what the colonists had to do.
narrator: "theres no place like home." that quote has been around for a long time. your home is one of the most comfortable places u know. Well, the colonists were not so comfortable when they had to let mean grumpy soldiers into their homes and feed them. They had to pay for things they needed, and give them a bed to sleep on. all done out of their pocket
narrator: this all happened because parliment let one tea company not pay taxes and colonists didn't react well.
