Storyboard Text

  • Atticus Finch is a very kind man who believes that people should be treated equally. This is one of the reason he chose to defend Tom Robinson. He believes that he is entitled to a fair trial even though he knows what the result will be. This is when Atticus' definition of courage applies : "It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do."He's trying to explain to Scout why he's defending him.
