Your son will either be a Great Warrior or a Religious Leader!
Siddhartha was born into a life of luxury, born to a prophecy, stating him to be a leader or warrior. Wanting his son to be a warrior, his father gave him everything, training him to be the best.
Journey to Enlightenment
I am so hungry
After marriage and his firstborn, for the first time, Siddhartha went outside the gates and was met by horrifying scenes of death and famine. For the first time ever, Siddhartha found suffering.
Disgusted by the horrifying events he had witnessed, Siddhartha left his family to find enlightenment, the end to suffering.
We will follow the 'Buddha'
He began by living a peasants life, starving himself and enduring the pain of those who suffer, though he was still not satisfied and in the end, chose the middle-class life instead.
Seated beneath the Bodhi tree Siddhartha became deeply absorbed in meditation, and reflected on his experience of life, determined to penetrate its truth. He finally achieved Enlightenment and became the Buddha.
For the next 45 years of his life, the Buddha taught many disciples, who became Arahants or 'noble ones', who had attained Enlightenment for themselves.
