In the Paleolithic age, everybody hunted and gathered food. It was very hard to keep a steady food supply.
The Ways of the Past
But, when we began to farm, we could control our food supply a lot easier.
And we can now stay in one place, instead of moving around to follow our food.
That's very important because we evolved to the humans you are today.
And if we would have stuck with hunting and gathering, there wouldn't be any jobs or permanent houses.
