  • On the 20th of may 1604 three of the plotters met up in the Duck and Drake pub where they came up with a plan to blow up the parliament from below (Robert Catesby,Thomas Winter and Guido Fawkes).
  • Thomas Percy rented a cell under the parliament and sent Guido with 36 barrels of gunpowder as he was a explosives expert and had plotted to blow them up on the 5th of November.
  • A while later Lord Monteagle received a letter from an anonymous saying not to go to the parliament on the 5th of November so a couple of days passed and Lord monteagle ordered a search through all the cells under the parliament.
  • The search party had found Guido in the cell with the barrels of gunpowder he said his name was John Johnson but the guards knew what he was trying to do so they arrested him and took him to the Rack where his limbs were pulled apart until he revealed the other plotters names.
  • On the 31st of January 1606 the other plotters were found (Robert Cecil,Thomas Percy,Thomas Winter and Robert Catesby) however the unusual thing about Thomas Percy and Robert Catesby was that they were killed by the exact same musket ball.
